A MoA was signed between D/o Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti through National River Conservation Directorate and IIT Kanpur through Centre for Ganga River Basin Management Studies with the Consortium Institutes of NIT Raipur & NIT Rourkela to establish Centres for Mahanadi River Basin Management Studies in February 2024.
Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 | Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath"
The initiative brought together students of NIT Rourkela, local school students, local village residents, faculty members, and project staff for a one-hour cleanliness drive and tree plantation activity, followed by the Swachh Bharat Pledge. The programme focused on creating awareness about cleanliness, responsible waste management, and the importance of collective action towards a cleaner and healthier environment.
Discussion on District River Management Plan (DRMP) Activities with District Administration Sambalpur
A meeting was held on 03rd September 2026 at the Office of the District Magistrate & Collector, Sambalpur, in the presence of Shri Siddheswar Baliram Bondar IAS to discuss the ongoing and proposed DRMP activities under the CAMP Project and seek the District Administration guidance and support for effective implementation in Sambalpur District.

The Ministry of Jal Shakti is organizing the 9th India International Water Week (IIWW) 2026 from 22–26 September 2026, featuring a four-day Conference and Exhibition from 22–25 September.
