Second meeting of Stakeholders Committee
cMahanadi NIT Rourkela successfully conducted its second stakeholder meeting at Bhubaneswar. All the stakeholders of Mahanadi river basin from Odisha portion were invited along with delegates from NIT Raipur, cGanga and NRCD.
- A comprehensive introduction to the project requirements and the current progress was presented, providing stakeholders with an overview of the objectives and milestones achieved so far.
- Key data collection gaps were identified, and stakeholders were requested to extend their cooperation to ensure timely and accurate information gathering.
- An inspirational address was delivered by the SPCB Member Secretary, emphasizing the significance of the project and encouraging active participation from all stakeholders.
- A panel discussion involving stakeholders and project personnel was organized to deliberate on challenges related to real-time information sharing and to explore possible solutions.
- Mementos were presented as a gesture of appreciation and respect to the higher authorities of the respective departments for their support and contributions.
Third meeting of Stakeholders Committee
- Inauguration by the Director, IISc Bangalore, with key remarks from Jal Shakti and NRCD dignitaries.
- Dr. Vinod Tare gave opening remarks, introduced the Samarth Ganga Framework, and shared project updates.
- All basin teams presented progress, targets achieved, and challenges faced.
- Board members held a panel discussion on coordinated actions for timely target completion.
- The Secretary advised integrating District River Management Plans (DRMPs) across all basins.
- The Secretary committed to monthly reviews and defined project success as actionable research outcomes.
